Overview
The Physiotherapy Department at Ghana Consolidated Diamonds Hospital delivers safe, patient-centred, evidence-based care that restores function, relieves pain and helps patients regain independence after injury, illness or surgery. Working alongside the hospital's clinical teams, it combines careful assessment, therapeutic exercise and hands-on rehabilitation to move each patient toward recovery and a better quality of life. Its work spans musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation — a natural partner to GCD's flagship orthopaedic surgery — as well as neurological, post-operative, sports-injury, cardiopulmonary and paediatric rehabilitation. Beyond treatment, the team places strong emphasis on patient education, home-exercise programmes, injury prevention and health promotion, so progress made in the clinic continues at home. By improving mobility, supporting faster recovery and reducing complications and long-term disability, the Physiotherapy Department is an essential thread in GCD's multidisciplinary approach to care.
